Aries New Moon
While all new moons contain seeds for a new beginning, by its very nature the Aries new moon is infused with a pioneering spirit that is intent on blazing a new path.
And the new moon at 0°50′ Aries on March 21 at 1:23 PM EDT is no different.
Actually, it’s more compelling than usual because it falls on the Aries point, which is 0°-1° of a cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn). When you consider that every season begins at an Aries point, it’s easy to see why this degree is so powerful.
It’s also a potent because it’s the first of two consecutive new moons in Aries, the second one being a solar eclipse on April 20.
So what does it all mean?
Since Aries represents the individual, the energy of this new moon is best used to initiate actions that further your own interests. Its conjunction to Mercury should make it easier for you to think about yourself and your personal wants, needs, personal goals and professional ambitions.
It’s also likely to inspire some bold ideas that can serve you well, as long as you don’t fall prey to the Ram’s impulsive nature. If you think things through and look before you leap, you can expect your intentions to be rooted in success.
With Pluto sextile this new moon, the potential for a new beginning that will lead to a profound change in your circumstances is a distinct possibility. However, this aspect requires some type of action on your part. It doesn’t need to be big. It doesn’t need to be complex. It just needs to be something that supports your intention.
It’s not often that you get a cosmic green light to put yourself first, and in this case, you’ll get a second one on April 20. But what if you don’t have anything specific that you want to manifest at this time?
My advice is to set an intention at this new moon to truly understand what the words I AM mean in your life. According to Leadership Expert Sheila Murray Bethel,
One of the most courageous things you can do is identify yourself, know who you are, what you believe in and where you want to go.
At some point in our lives, we all need to figure this out.
The Aries new moon is a perfect time to begin.
